Research
I charge £10 an hour for carrying out research. I charge only for time spent doing research, not travelling, formulating research plans, composing reports or answering e-mails. A time-limit for carrying out the research is agreed beforehand and I stick to that limit, sending a report after completing the session.

Expenses
Copies from microfilm/fiche cost £1 per page. Gloucestershire Archives charges £5 for a day pass to take digital photographs. Birth, Marriage and Death certificates from the General Register Office cost £9.25. I do not charge for postage.

Transcription
I also charge £10 per hour for document transcription. Send a copy for an estimate.

How to Pay

I accept payment by cheque (in Sterling only), by International Money Order or by credit or debit card using PAYPAL. You can pay for an agreed number of hours in advance, or I can invoice you after I have carried out an initial research session.
